The Hidden Sea recently engaged Modern Currency to create an elegant showcase event in Melbourne targeting key media, influencers and retailers.
Held at Village Belle Hotel in St Kilda, the immersive food and wine tasting experience highlighted The Hidden Sea brand story, mission, range of wines and introduced co-founder and spokesperson Richie Vandenberg.
From ideation to execution, our Event Management team curated an incredible event to increase brand awareness and shine the spotlight on The Hidden Sea’s greater mission – helping to put the single-use plastic waste crisis at the top of mind and remind everyone that we can all play a part in minimising our impact on the environment and the world’s oceans.
Modern Currency managed the following elements:
- Created a targeted guest list consisting of wine, lifestyle and environmental media; wine and lifestyle influencers; and key Melbourne-based ambassadors.
- Designed e-invitation, tasting notes, canape tent cards, table talkers and coordinated printing of all communications collateral.
- Organised venue booking and liaised with venue managers about crucial event set up details including staffing, service format, matching canapes selection, wine storage, music, lighting and bump in/bump out.
- Sourced all styling elements to bring the ocean theme to life in an understated yet impactful way.
- Booked photographer and external AV.
- Sent out e-invitation and managed RSVPs.
- Developed run sheet and photography brief.
- Provided on the ground management and support.
To help elevate the event and create a unique sensory experience, a range of interactive elements were implemented including:
- Presentation from co-founder Richie Vandenberg.
- Ocean waves projected onto walls to create an underwater atmosphere.
- Handheld projectors beaming plastic waste imagery onto guests to create interest and discussion.
- Facts/stats/video footage rolling on digital screens.
- Three wine tasting stations each talking to different parts of The Hidden Sea story.
Overall, the Melbourne showcase event was well attended on the night by key media, influencers and retailers.
